Mezzanine racking is a heavy-duty storage solution that multiplies a warehouse's vertical usable space by constructing an intermediate platform over existing racking or work areas. It enables the transformation of a single-level warehouse into a multi-level, three-dimensional storage environment without the need for costly facility expansions.Rack-Supported Mezzanine: Features: The most economical option; it utilizes heavy-duty pallet racks on the ground level as the load-bearing supports for the upper platform, eliminating the need for additional structural steel columns. Applications: Suitable for operations requiring high-volume pallet storage on the ground level while simultaneously utilizing the overhead space for manual picking or lightweight storage.

Freestanding / Structural Mezzanine: Features: Constructed using independent steel columns and a system of primary and secondary beams. Although the cost is higher, it offers maximum spans for both the ground and mezzanine levels, with minimal obstruction from columns on the ground floor. Applications: Suitable for areas requiring forklift access, the placement of large machinery, or use as office space and assembly lines.Catwalk Mezzanine: Features: Walkways and aisles are suspended directly between multi-level light- or medium-duty shelving units. Flooring is installed only along the walkways, while the shelving units themselves span the full height across the levels. Applications: Ideally suited for manual picking operations involving a wide variety of small items—such as automotive parts and electronic components—with high picking frequency.
